The Information and Research Centre for Children's Rights
in Albania (IRCCRA) was
established on 26-th of August 1999 by a decision of the Board
of Directors of Children's Human Rights Centre - CRCA. From
January 2002 IRCCRA is supported from The Olof Palmes International
Center in Sweden, which is the major donor for our centre.
Other donors include Soros Foundation in Albania.
AIMS
The main aims of IRCCRA are:
- To co-ordinate the information on children and children's
rights;
- Top carry out research on child rights in the country;
- To strengthen NGO capacities at local and national level,
and;
- To provide children, NGO's, governmental organisations and
experts with information facilities.
OBJECTIVES
- To increase the information regarding the work, the projects
and researches ongoing and completed by children's NGO's.
- To offer NGO's specialised training from qualified personnel
on how best to deal with children's rights and issues.
- To establish the Albanian NGO database and on projects
completed and on going.
- Establishing an Internet centre enabling children's NGO's,
professionals, lawyers, judge's etc to gain access to the
outside world on children's rights issues.
- To keep up to date information about grants, projects,
conferences, both in Albania and Abroad affecting Albanian
children's NGO's.
- Informing mass media.
WHAT SERVICES WE PROVIDE
IRCCRA supported by a grant of The Olof Palmes International
Center, now can offer for you the following services and facilities:

in partnership with the Network of Albanian Journalists

- Review for Children and Youth Rights in Albania
- Training for NGO leadership and financial management
- Training on CRC and other international standards related
to children's rights

- Meeting room for training, workshops, seminars etc. (max
20 people).

- Photocopying / Printing
- Design of posters, leaflets, books etc.

All those services are offered
for a symbolic payment.
